Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of KGT on immunologic control function, the various immune responses such as the transformation of lymphocyte, the production of nitric oxide (NO), the population of immune cells in spleen of mouse, the phagocytic index K and the hemagglutinin titer and hemolysin titer were studied.
The results were obtained as follows
1. The transformation of lymphocyte was not increased significantly in KGT treated group as compared with negative and positive control.
2. The production of nitric oxide was increased signi- ficantly in KGT & LPS treated group as compared with control.
3. The phagocytic index K was increased significantly in KGT pretreated group as compared with control.
4. In FACS analysis, the population of helper T cell and macrophage were increased significantly in KGT treated group as compared with control.
5. The hemagglutinin titer and hemolysin titer were increased significantly in KGT treated group as compared with control.
From the above results, it was concluded that KGT showed immunologic control function through the activation of specific and non specific immune response. So it could be used on the prevention and treatment of disease induced by depression of immunologic function.
